This Privacy Policy sets out how DS7 Limited collects, uses, stores and protects personal information received through this website, in accordance with the Data Protection Act, 2012 (Act 843) of Ghana. It applies to this website only, and not to information provided to us in a meeting or under a signed agreement. It should be read together with our Terms & Conditions.
“Personal information” means any information about an individual from which that individual can be identified.

We are the data controller for personal information collected through this website, meaning the organisation that determines why and how it is processed.
Information we collect
Information you provide. The contact form is the only part of this website that requests personal information. It collects your name, email address, company and telephone number (both optional), the type of enquiry selected and your message. Only your name, email address and message are required. Please do not include sensitive or confidential information in your message.
Information collected automatically. Our hosting provider records standard technical information when a page is requested, including your IP address, browser type, the page requested, the referring page and the time of the request. We use this information to maintain the security of the website and to resolve technical faults. We do not use it to profile individuals.
We do not intentionally collect sensitive personal information, such as details of race, ethnicity, religious belief, health, sexual orientation or biometric data. We do not obtain information about you from data brokers or other third parties. We may also use aggregated statistics, such as visitor numbers, which do not identify any individual.
This website does not provide user accounts, logins, payments or a mailing list.
Cookies
Cookies are small files that a website asks your browser to store.
We use Google Analytics to understand how many people visit this website and which pages they view. It provides us with visitor numbers and usage patterns, not your identity. Analytics cookies are set only with your consent. When you first visit, a banner invites you to accept or decline them, and no Google script is requested unless you accept. You may withdraw consent at any time by deleting cookies through your browser settings.
We do not use cookies for advertising and we do not share information with advertising networks. Our hosting provider may also set a small number of strictly necessary cookies to deliver the website securely.
Why we use your information
We process personal information only for lawful purposes, as follows:
| Purpose | Basis |
|---|---|
| Responding to your enquiry and continuing the conversation | Steps taken at your request, and our legitimate interest in answering enquiries |
| Keeping a record of enquiries and how they were handled | Our legitimate interest in managing the business |
| Keeping the website secure and available | Our legitimate interest in protecting our systems |
| Measuring website usage through Google Analytics | Your consent, which you may withdraw at any time |
| Meeting our legal, tax and regulatory obligations | Compliance with a legal obligation |
Where we rely on legitimate interests, we consider the impact on you and do not proceed where your rights outweigh our interest. We make no automated decisions about you, and we do not add enquirers to a marketing list.
Who we share it with
We do not sell, rent or trade personal information. We disclose it only to:
- The service providers that operate this website on our behalf. They act under our instructions, must keep the information secure and confidential, and may not use it for their own purposes.
- Google, but only where you have accepted analytics cookies.
- Professional advisers, such as lawyers and accountants, who are bound by a duty of confidentiality.
- Any person or authority where required by law, including the Data Protection Commission, or to establish or defend a legal claim.
- A buyer or successor to the business, in which case we will notify you.
Some of our service providers operate outside Ghana, and your information may therefore be processed in other countries. Where this occurs, we require it to be protected to a standard consistent with Act 843.
Recruitment is conducted on TalentIQ, a separate DS7 platform to which its own privacy notice applies.
Retention and security
We retain personal information for as long as is reasonably necessary to fulfil the purposes for which it was collected, including to satisfy legal, accounting and reporting requirements. In deciding how long that is, we consider the nature and sensitivity of the information, the risk of harm from unauthorised use or disclosure, and whether the purpose can be achieved by other means. We may keep information for longer where a complaint is made or a legal claim is reasonably anticipated. When it is no longer needed, we delete it or remove anything that identifies you.
This website operates over HTTPS, form submissions are validated on our servers, and access to enquiries is restricted to those at DS7 who need it, all of whom are bound by confidentiality. No system is completely secure, and we therefore cannot guarantee absolute security. If a breach of personal information occurs, we will take prompt steps to contain it and will notify you and the Data Protection Commission where the law requires.
Your rights
Under Act 843, you have the right to:
- Request access to the personal information we hold about you.
- Request correction of information that is inaccurate or incomplete.
- Request deletion of your information, where we have no lawful reason to retain it, where you have successfully objected to its use, or where deletion is legally required.
- Object to the processing of your information that relies on our legitimate interests, or that is for direct marketing. We may decline an objection only where we can show compelling legitimate grounds.
- Ask us to restrict processing while we verify its accuracy or while an objection or legal claim is being resolved.
- Withdraw your consent at any time, without affecting processing already carried out.
To exercise any of these rights, email contactus@ds7.online with enough detail for us to understand your request. We may need to verify your identity first, to ensure that information is not disclosed to anyone else. We will respond within a reasonable time and will not charge a fee unless a request is clearly excessive. Some requests may be limited where we are required by law to retain the information.
If you are dissatisfied with our response, you may lodge a complaint with the Data Protection Commission of Ghana.
Other matters
This website is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we learn that we have done so, we will delete it.
This website links to TalentIQ, our recruitment platform, and to our social media pages. TalentIQ is a DS7 product, but it is a separate platform, and personal information you submit there is governed by the privacy notice on that platform rather than this policy. Our social media pages are operated by third parties that we do not control, and you should review their own policies.
We may update this policy when our practices or the law change. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised.
